About El Valor
El Valor is a non-profit community-based organization founded in 1973 that strives for a community in which all members, including individuals with special needs, can live, learn and work.
El Valor has four Children and Family Centers, six residential facilities for adults with intellectual disabilities, and two locations providing Community Day Services and Employment services for its' adults. These facilities are spread throughout the Chicagoland area and provide services to over 4,000 children, adults with disabilities, and their families. El Valor's 300+ staff members all come from the community and have a passion for providing inclusive services to the most vulnerable in a safe and intercultural competent environment.
